I would like to interrupt your afternoon to bring you this piece of breaking news...Children living in today's society are weird. (Weird with a capitol "W")
I know this might come as a shock to you, but take a deep breath, and brace yourself for the worst, because it does indeed get worse...much worse.
Not only are they not weird, but they are different, crazy, and yes some might even say "morons."
To prove my point as an ammature broadcaster (self proclaimed) I bring you these photos:
These are disgusting.
Well America, all I can say is that we are living in changing times, and all we can do for these poor, forsaken kids is pray for them.
My name is Sweet T and I bid you Good Evening.
Peace, Love, & Pray for me too...

Boot Love
I know I have said it a million and one times before, but I just have to say it again:
I have an unnatural love for boots.
I love them so much it was even mentioned at my graduation, and to make matters even more ironic I wore them to graduation under my very unflattering black gown.
(And yes, the boots did do wonders for that gown.)
Actually, now that I think about it May 27th (My graduation day) was a day full of Boot Love.
Would you like to see these beautiful boots?
Ok, but a little warning: These boots are so awesome, and so downright spectacular that they might blow your mind, please be seated before viewing.
Now, behold! The most beautiful boots your eyes will ever set sight upon....
I have an unnatural love for boots.

(And yes, the boots did do wonders for that gown.)
Actually, now that I think about it May 27th (My graduation day) was a day full of Boot Love.
- First, I wore boots to my graduation.
- Then, It was mentioned during graduation how much I adored boots.
- And Finally, I came home from graduation only to find the most beautiful pair of boots I have eva seen in my life! (Note: This sentence sounds best if read with a southern accent.)
Would you like to see these beautiful boots?
Ok, but a little warning: These boots are so awesome, and so downright spectacular that they might blow your mind, please be seated before viewing.
Now, behold! The most beautiful boots your eyes will ever set sight upon....
Notice the detail, the precision, the beauty!
People have said over and over again that shoes are a girls best friend, and that statement is correct, but to be more accurate they should say: BOOTS are a girls best friend, because these lovelies are my dearest, and closest friend.
We've gone everywhere together...
We've been to rodeos, to church, and......well that's it considering I haven't left the house since Sunday, but the next time I do you can count on these boots being on my feet!!!
You're also probably wondering where I got these boots...
But I'm not going to tell you.
The end.
Just kidding, I shall reveal my secret to you, because to keep this talented, gifted person hidden from the world would be a sin, and sinning is not good.
The talented/gifted person is....(drum roll, or pencil tap on my desk)....Preston Wood!
Preston is my Grandpa, and is the one-of-kind boot maker who (I'm convinced) delivered these boots straight from heaven.....
Ok, maybe that's a little dramatic, but he did hand make them, and I think they are the most beautiful boots I have ever seen, and don't ever try to tell me different, Amen.
Peace, Love, & I think I owe Preston lots, and lots of cupcakes

The Opposite of the Garden of Eden
Today is the first day of my summer (Duh) so me and my lovely sister, and my Brahman Breddin' Brother got ambitious...
And no that doesn't mean we got up at 4:30 a.m. to go brand cattle (But don't think that hasn't happened before.)
Instead, we decided that since our Mother didn't plant a garden this year due to lack of time, rain, etc, and since we love vegetables so much, (well at least I do, I'm not sure I can say so much for my sister who has an unnatural love for junk food, and for my brother who thinks macaroni is a vegetable,) that we would plant our own garden.
And by the looks of our former garden from a year ago, it is going to be no easy task...
This is the state of our garden as of 12:00 p.m. today.
You will probably notice that it bares no resemblance to the Garden of Eden, but don't lose heart! Me, and my siblings plan to change that...
This is where our herb garden would go...And this is also where Max likes to stand and stare at me, or whoever else for hours on end.
Forgive him, he's kinda weird.
Now, I know what your probably saying,
"There's no way they'll ever fix that dump!"
Or,
"They live in the desert?"
Or my personal favorite,
"Where are they going to plant the potato chips?"
And you could be right on all accounts, but I'm convinced that with a little TLC, my green thumb I plan to acquire, and some moisture, we can turn this desert into a lovely lush garden...or just a garden.
Peace, Love, & Pray for rain.
Sweet T
P.S. Seeing as this is my first garden, I am going to need all the help I can get, whether you laugh at me, pray for me, or send me gardening tips it is all appreciated. Amen.

The Summer Guessing Game
Now that the tassel has been turned, and all the tears have been cried (well at least until I "officially" move out,) and all the graduation parties have been attended (my last one was today, where I experienced for the first time in my life, swimming with real, live catfish, and no I didn't scream like a little girl, or think that they were eating my toes...or at least not excessively,) it is time for the big question to be answered:
WHAT AM I GOING TO DO ALL SUMMER?
Instead of just coming right and telling you the answer, why don't we make a game out of it, because I am a game-lover.
I love games.
Games make me happy, and I never cheat...or at least not excessively.
So now I present you with what I like to call.....
Now...
If you guessed A, or B, you need to get a reality check. Not to say that I don't love the beach, or that I'm not the most brilliant girl in the world (I'm just brilliant when it comes to eating cupcakes, and blogging at the same time, and even then I struggle) but when you live the life of a teenage cowgirl, "leisure", and "beach" are not in your vocabulary.
Well, unless your saying: That lake over their sort of looks like a beach, and it makes me want to stroll leisurely.
Ok, see? Even then it doesn't make since....
So when your strolling leisurely on your private beach, or touring an ivy league school, think of me. I'll rodeo, work, and ride bikes enough for all of you, and I do consider myself the blessed one.
(And yes, that is because I am afraid of jellyfish, and high IQ's.)
Peace, Love, & Moron is such a strong word. Maybe that's why I love it?

GUESS WHAT SWEET T IS DOING ALL SUMMER!!!
(The Trivia Game, where if you're not cheating you're not trying!)
Is Sweet T going to...........
A. Lounge on the beach all summer...
Where she will get pedicure, manicures, and need no cures, because she will never get ill breathing in the ocean air. Drinking Sweet Tea (Is that irony?) would be here favorite past time, right after shopping all day on the board walk.
B. Visit colleges all summer....
Where she is desperately wanted for her intellectual ability, and for her fondness, and overall talent of using the word "moron."
C. Work, Rodeo, and Ride Bikes all summer....
Sweet would work nearly every other day, (she must take turns with her lovely sister, and her Brahman Breeding Brother) at her Daddy's feedyard where she would experience dirt, cattle, and horses of every color, and lets not forget to mention overall joy. After a day at the feedyard she would most likely spend her evenings and weekends at Rodeo, where she is Sandhill Cattle Company's A #1 cheerleader (yes actual cheers are involved even if they are as simple as "Don't forget to Milk the Cow!!!" Does that make sense? On leisurely days, Sweet T would venture to ride her bike to her grandparent's house, to get exercise, to find peace in nature, and to get her grandpa to take her home, and hopefully buy her ice cream on the way.
Now...

The Ending & The Beginning
As I wake up on the dawn of the morning after graduation, three things come to mind.
1) I slept past 7 a.m., so your welcome Mother.
2) I have a hangover.....A cupcake hangover that is, and I'm not sure how long it will take me to get over it, but it could be months, especially since I ate one for breakfast, and will probably have one for lunch as well.
3) I am blessed.
Last night after laughing, crying, and hugging through graduation, and then after that my graduation party (the same party where I received the cupcake hangover) the realization of it all hit me. Not the realization that I am blessed, because I have always known that, but more so the fact that all the people that attended my graduation and then my party were their to celebrate the ending, and also the beginning.
The ending...of my H.S. career, a career that was long, and at times unbearably tough, but at even more times it was filled with moments of laughter, joy, and love. These are the moments I will never forget, and the moments I owe totally and completely to my friends, and most of all my family.
The beginning...of my college career, a career that is uncertain, inevitably tough, and so promising. College is something that me, and every other High School senior has been thinking of for the past 12 months, and we all have the same feelings: dread, and even more anticipation. We really don't know what the future holds....Well, I say that, but then again I do know what the future holds, or at least I have an Idea, because I know that my family has given me every "tool" I need to get through life, and these tools are not hammers, and screwdrivers (even though I have these too, because I am afraid of my own shadow) but they are a loving family to come home too, and my Christian values. And that is why I'm not so afraid of college anymore, because I know that whatever happens I will make it through it with a song in my heart! And God-willingly, will achieve all my goals.
So thanks to everyone for everything, I know that is a broad sentence, but I mean it with all my heart, and only hope that I can return all the favors someday.
Peace, Love, & I truly love you all
Sweet T
P.S. Here's a shout out to Hopilicious (my mom) for making that sweet, sweet post yesterday, that made me sob all over my shirt...I even think I drooled a little, but nevermind that, I love you, Daddy, my lovely sister, and the Brahman Breeder to the moon and back.

Summer's 1st day of school........
Summer's last day of school.....:(
Before I go any further, I better inform you that this is not Sweet T. I am her adoring mother, and yes, I have hacked into her blog today. First of all, can I get some applause for posting this Graduation Day post all by myself (with pictures!) Sorry, it's my first time, and I'm not what you would call a computer whiz by any stretch of the imagination!

First of all, can I get some applause for posting this Graduation Day post all by myself (with pictures!) Sorry, it's my first time, and I'm not what you would call a computer whiz by any stretch of the imagination!
This sneaky blog post came to me during my restless sleep last night. All the tossing & turning was due to the realization that my baby girl is no longer a baby. She is 18, graduating High School tonight, & leaving our safe cozy home in just a few short months. She is going to college where she will get her degree in journalism, become a famous writer, marry the man of her dreams, have children, make enough money to buy a ranch large enough to accomodate her parents and siblings, where we will all live in very close proximity to each other forever and ever.... Amen! Ok, Ok...... maybe i'm getting a tad bit carried away. I can't help it. This day has come far faster than I expected. To say that the last 18 years have flown by is a huge understatement!! I thought I was prepared for it....until last night. Then, while decorating for graduation, it hit me like a ton of bricks! Parents gathered to finally view the Senior slide show. My sweet daughter has refused to reveal her Senior song, until last night. So, as we rolled around to the T's (Townsend) I start to see precious childhood photos of Summer, then Summer & Autumn, then Summer & Trail (all hugging each other). Don't do it, don't do it!!! Surely you can remain composed for a silly little slide show.....nope I lost it! The song got me. She picked Martina McBride's "I have been blessed". Hang on...I have to go get some tissue.
Summer, We aren't necessarily
proud of you because you finished High School. Although a great accomplisment, many kids do this every year. Our pride in you comes from your choices. You have chosen to overcome and be an extremely mature, loving, responsible, precious young lady. We love you beyond words!
Peace, Love, & We will always be your biggest fans!!
P.S. sleep late in the morning.... at least til 7:00!!

A Tale of Two Crazy Shoppers
Ok so here is a tail of how my yesterday went down....
(WARNING: Please brace yourself, because this could get ugly.)
5:50 a.m. I woke up dazed & confused...ok not really, but I did wake up at exactly that time, because I am slightly obsessive compulsive about my morning routine. Don't be hatin'
7:30 a.m. We rush out the door for school, because we are late as usual. The Brahman Breeder glares at me as usual. My lovely sister leaves her breakfast in the pickup as Usual. And my Mother yells at me to be safe as usual. And i sing my heart out to Shania Twain....as usual.
8:15 a.m. I leave school to accompany my Mother to Lubbock, Texas, to buy the "goods" for our FFA Banquet. I arrive home expecting to leave that very moment, because as usual we are on a time crunch...but instead we departed exactly an 1 hour and 35 minutes later....not that I was keeping time or anything....
10:30 a.m. We arrive at sonic, because strangely I am starving. ( This really isn't strange, I just thought I'd make an attempt to be humerous...attempt failed.) So I order a hot dog. It's delicious. I eat it all. And then I want another one. So I scream, and cry, and recieve no Hot dog....once again, attempt failed.
11:30 a.m. We arrive at Sam's with our "armor" on so to speak because when I am shop, I don't just shop, I speed shop. Anyways, we ran around Sam's for an hour (give or take a second) and got approximately 144 new potatoes, 30 onions & lemons, 24 packages of sausage, 6 packages of shrimp, 6 containers of Zatarans (pronounced Za-ta-ran's...not Zarrrrtin's like My pop believes) and 60 ears of corn. Needless to say my back was aching because of the tremedous basket weight, my head was aching because everyone kept staring at us, and my mother was crying because I was making her run everywhere...The end.
1:00 p.m. We pull in Lowe's and attempt to buy a whole backyard....Not really, but we did buy enough flowers to make a flourist go into a blissful coma, and enough tin can buckets (I cannot think of the proper name for them at this moment) to make whoever uses tin can buckets happy, and by this time the blisters on my feet made pedestrians gag, Amen. Oh, and my Mother getting revenge for the whole Sam's ordeal made me search every nook & cranny of Lowe's for a cheap cooler. I did eventually find one, but by this time I was sweating, panting, and yelling at everyone that looked at me. I'm no longer allowed in Lowe's by the way.
2:00 p.m. We make our way to Hobby Lobby. Usually, I love Hobby Lobby, but yesterday I was in such a hurry that I didn't have time to love it, and this made me ticked, so I shopped at an even faster paste, and grabbed every cupcake liner within sight.
3:15 p.m. By this time their is no more room in our pickup AT ALL. Literally, we didn't even have room to breath, and I'm not exaggerating either because Mama kept choking on her water, and expected me to do the hemlic on her, but sadly there was no room, so she just spit her water onto the floor instead. And after saying that I am now grounded. The end.
5:00 p.m. We make it home, I want to lay down and die, but I don't have time, because I have a banquet to go to...So I poof my hair to unnatural heights, throw on a pair of heels, and head out the door. The End. ( For real.)
Peace, Love, & I should be inducted into the Mad Shoppers Hall of Fame...anyone want to nominate me?? Didn't think so....nevermind.
