LaVerne's Castle

Today I got the privilege to visit a Castle. I'm not kidding either...this Castle just happens to be named the Running Water Care Center, it also happens to be in Olton, Texas just 15 miles down the road, and it also happens to be where my grandma (Mom) Julie works...Oh, and it happens to be where the oldest relative I have lives!

Yes, LaVerne Stephenson my great great Aunt is 99(and a half) and she is the oldest relative I have. LaVerne just recently got to move in to the Running Water Care Center (aka: The Castle)...and let me tell ya folks, I'm jealous of her! She has people waiting on her hand and foot, and all the goodies she could ever want...

So today, Mama, Trail, Autumn, Scout, & myself went to visit LaVerne and of course LaVerne was ecstatic to see Scout (Who isn't?) And Scout was quite ecstatic to see LaVerne as well because well...LaVerne had candy.

Actually to say LaVerne just had candy is an understatement because LaVerne had LOTS of candy, that both Scout, Trail, and LaVerne herself helped themselves too...

LaVerne also had Dr. Peppers! She has lots of little Dr. Peppers that the care center keeps just for her in a fridge and being the generous soul that she is LaVerne shared her Dr. Peppers with us. She also had one herself, which I think is great, because hey when I'm 99(and a half) I am going to have Dr. Pepper with every meal....even brunch and Lupper(the meal between lunch and supper. Yes I made that up myself.)

( Scout never says no to a Dr. Pepper...who does?)

LaVerne shared day to day tales of her adventures in the Castle with us, and that included the beloved by all pets at the care center. There is a big fluffy cat, and a little fluffy dog. The fluffy dog is named "Moppy" very apropriatley so...and LaVerne loves him.

Who wouldn't love Moppy? He looks like a mop...

So after a long while, it was time to say goodbye, and as always both Trail and Scout gave LaVerne big hugs, and we departed the Castle...I would like to say we left in a horse-drawn carriage, but the royal treatment is only for the residents at the Running Water Care Center...

Peace, Love, & Your never too old to be a princess

Sweet T

Are you going to take care of me when I'm old? Are you going to take care of me when I'm young?
